Put the notch
to work.

Notch turns the camera cutout on your MacBook into a Dynamic Island–style tray for music, live activities, and the coding agents waiting on you.

Version 1.4.0 · macOS 15 or later · Free & open source

Hover the notch to open it.

Coding agents

Your agents tap you on the shoulder.

Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex show up when they need permission, ask a question, finish, or fail. Allow or deny right from the notch, type a reply, or jump straight to the terminal tab.

Coding agents

One click to wire up.
Safe by design.

Open Settings → Coding Agents and click Install. Notch registers a tiny hook with each agent and keeps your existing hooks exactly as they were.

Codex~/.codex/hooks.json
Cursor~/.cursor/hooks.json
  • Never leaves your Mac. Events travel over a Unix socket only your user can open.
  • Can't block an agent. The hook always exits 0 without output.
  • Easy to undo. The previous config is kept as a .notch-backup.
